Ruby Beach get away

Well, I didn't get everything done, but I did get enough done that I am ok with it.

We had an awesome get away to a bed and breakfast called Eden by the sea.  They served a 3 course breafast, something I have never had before.  That is a lot of food, and with the band Bob ended up eating most of it.  There is a reason why he has gotten more overweight since I got my band, he doesn't want to waste food!  Oh well, I just need to order less. The place we stayed was elegant and peaceful with beautiful views, I couldn't have asked for a better romantic get away.

I made a bad call on the way home, I decided I wanted to see the ocean, specifically Ruby beach, which Bob loves and is always talking about.  I wasn't counting on the snow.  It was so cold and snowy at the beach that we pretty much just walked out and took pictures and got back in the car, but it is a gorgeous beach, with lots of rocks that look like skipping rocks.  In fact all of the rocks looked like skipping rocks.  We were able to check out a couple tide pools, but when it is cold and snowing there isn't much more to see than a few sea anemone (I am sure I spelled that wrong).  We also drove through the town of Forks where the twilight books are set, but not one frame has ever been filmed there.  It still attracts lots of tourists, kind of strange.... The drive home took what seemed like forever.  We were driving through the rainforest while it was snowing,  beautiful pictures, but a little stressful driving.

Oh well, I did get to see my ocean, which is always awe inspiring, the power is incredible, even when it is snowing.  One of the pictures is kind of cool, it looks like I am walking on water, which, for the record I know I cannot do:)  I will try to post some of those pitures for you.

Tommorrow is back to the grind, school starts again, and I work a lot this week.....can you tell I am really excited about that?

Julimarie171: I love vacation!!

Julimarie171: I love vacation!!

I love vacation!!

Yea, I am on Vacation.  I love vacation.  Not sure why, but I always make myself huge lists of things to get done on vacation, all the random things I have not been able to get around to like drop off dry cleaning, get watches fixed, get passport, get family picture framed and the list goes on.  My list for Monday expanded in to Tuesday, and now it is spreading to Wednesday.  At one point today I just gave up on my list and finished reading my book.   Which was a bummer because I like happily ever after stories, and this wasn't one of those, it always makes me made when I get one by mistake.  I don't want reality, I want everything to be nice and happy!  I did get a huge amount of things done, but I slacked off on my running, which means a really need to get out tomorrow, it is just so hard when it is cold and snowing outside, and my brain has pretty much maxed up on the amount of time it is willing to spend on the dreadmill at the gym.  Looks like tomorrow I am going to have to bite the bullet and get it done, early too.  One of the things I haven't done is my dental check up, I hate those things!  I want some good nitrous, but they don't do that just for cleaning.  But they just happened to have an appointment tomorrow, so I can go before we head down to the Portland Temple, we made a committement to go every month, and since Seattle is closed, Portland here we come.
Michael is set for school and working hard, he even helped me tie a quilt tonight (another one of those projects on my list).  I organized my office the other day, and dejunked the house, so things feel a little more comfortable.  It is so much easier to feel the spirit when things are clean.  I am singing in a multistake choir which is absolutely awesome, we will be performing at easter time, however I will have to miss one of the performances as  I will be in Alabama taking an emergency management class (that's not the exact name, but I am a little tired to remember it right now.  Bob got his C-Pap today, he is sleeping soundly, hopefully he wakes up feeling awesome tomorrow so  he can get my curtain rods and new curtains hung in that bedroom.  We also broke down and bought a blue ray player so we can watch netflix easier, not eveyrthing is on demand, but a lot of things are.  I am sure on my next day when I want to veg out I will be able to find plenty of mindless entertainment.  I got some CD's from Sherry Dew, they are awesome and motivating.  I am listenin to them in the car as I drive around.  Did some visiting teaching tonight, dishes and laundry then it looks like bedtime.  I guess the thankyou cards I was going to send today will have to wait til tomorrow, I can address them in the car on the way to the temple.  I know this is a much longer post than usual, but it's been a while, I had to catch up a little.  Overall, life is good!
